Vuong’s poetry is not for everyone, but I am a huge fan. I will note that there are triggering topics, as Vuong navigates life after his mother’s death, and the staying power of grief. This is an extremely personal poetry book that will resonate with anyone who has dealt with loss and the accompanying emotions that persist through grief.
