At James V Brown Library, the youth services department is dedicated to providing a host of activities and age appropriate literature for all ages, from birth all the way to teen.
Wonderopolis is a free online learning website full of interactive STEM and literacy-building topics with a corresponding app. The summer program – Camp Wonderopolis, is designed to help build vocabulary, background knowledge in science, reading comprehension, critical thinking, and other literacy skills along the way. When you register as a Camper (kids of all ages) or Counselor (parents, community and library program staff, teachers), you’ll enjoy learning through wonder.
Ready Rosie is a free online program for residents of Lycoming County. There are 10 weeks of “Summer Soar” playlists that focus on games and activities families can do together to promote family interaction, problem-solving, and social, emotional, math, and motor skills in children, infants to third grade. Hoopla has thousands of movies, television shows, music albums, eBooks, audiobooks and comics, all available for mobile and online access. James V.
