WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – As part of the James V. Brown Library’s Summer Learning Program, the World of Little League® Museum will offer free tours on Sundays during the eight-week program.

Each Sunday from now through August 3rd, the World of Little League® Museum, 525 Montgomery Pike (U.S. 15) in South Williamsport will offer free admission to Lycoming County residents who show their Library card. The museum is open from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Tours through the museum are self-paced, usually lasting 60 to 90 minutes.

“We are excited to partner again this year with the Museum to offer an activity on a day in which the Library is closed,” said Nicole Rader, Programming and Youth Services Director. “We hope residents will take advantage of this opportunity, and if you don’t have a library card, there’s never a better time to get one than right now.”

The mission of the World of Little League® Museum is to inform and educate people about the history, service, goals, and initiatives of Little League® Baseball and Softball. Hundreds of artifacts on display are organized for research and educational purposes, and are used in exhibits to be enjoyed by people of all ages.

Lycoming County residents who do not have a library card may visit the James V. Brown Library on Monday through Saturday to sign up for a free card, or stop in at one of the five other libraries in the Lycoming County Library System: Hughesville Area Public Library, Montgomery Area Public Library, Muncy Public Library, Jersey Shore Public Library or Dr. W.B. Konkle Memorial Library in Montoursville.

No registration is required. To learn more, visit calendar.jvbrown.edu or call the library at 570-326-0536.
