The Paris Library by Janet Charles Skeslien

The Paris Library takes you back in time to World War II as German armies are heading to Paris. Odile Souchet and the other librarians of the American Library in Paris need to figure out how to not only save their beloved library, but to keep it open and serve their subscribers during the occupation. At the same time, you jump forward in time to 1983 and how the decisions of the past are affecting the present. This book kept me on the edge of my seat as I bounced back and forth from 1939 to 1983, anxious to find out what happened to Odile. This is a book for anyone who likes libraries, World War II, historical fiction, Paris, or any combination of the four. I couldn’t put this book down.
