These fun tales follow Cabin Roanoke from Miss Quinzella Thiskwin Penniquiqul Thistle Crumpet’s Camp for Hardcore Lady Types as they navigate the camp and the surrounding woods. These hardcore lady types come across a boys camp filled with brainwashed lads, Greek Gods, a mysterious bearwoman, outhouse raptors (yep, outhouse raptors), and much more. The art style is bright and fun, Stevenson’s art conveys the adventures of the Lumberjanes with lush backgrounds and wonderful facial expressions. As much as I’ve loved Stevenson’s other graphic novel Nimona, it’s amazing it’s taken me so long to fall in love with Lumberjanes.
