I loved the first book, so I just had to read the follow up! Millie and Enzo are the only characters from the first book, “The Housemaid,” so those hoping for a follow-up to the original story will be disappointed. Instead, this book is set a few years ahead and Millie has been hired by many battered women to “take care” of their home. So, when billionaire Douglas Garrick hires her to help out while his wife is ill, she jumps at the chance to just be a housemaid. But all is not what it seems in the Garrick household and Millie finds out that she’s back to her “old job” again. There’s not much more I can say without spoiling this twisty, fun sequel.
