Harry Adams is a single mom looking for a job during COVID and is ecstatic when she’s offered a job cleaning the mansion of recluse horror director Javier Castillo. His home is filled with all the lifelike props he used for his films, which are stored in various rooms that Harry cleans under the watchful eye of Javier. But then she starts hearing noises, and seeing things, and she wonders if the props are watching her. As Harry learns more about Javier’s past and the scandal involving his wife and son, she begins to wonder if these supernatural events are connected. This is a fun read for gothic horror lovers.
