I love when humor and horror come together. This was a fun book about a couple who move into a gorgeous Victorian house only to find out that it’s haunted and it gets worse in September, when the walls begin to bleed, the howling begins overnight, and the “residents” start to bite. Margaret is determined to stay in the home, but her husband, Hal, has had enough. When Hal goes missing in September, Margaret is sure he will come home when the month is over. But when their adult daughter gets worried when Dad hasn’t returned her calls, she comes for a visit during an especially “active” month. This is a great read for those who love Grady Hendrix and Edgar Allan Poe.
