Narrator Casey Fletcher – giving off Carrie Fisher vibes – is the daughter of a well-loved actress. Casey ends up having a career in movies and TV but struggles with alcoholism. After the paparazzi make headlines with Casey’s abuse, her mother sends her to their remote family cabin in Vermont. There, she drinks and spies on her neighbors with binoculars. When a former supermodel nearly drowns and Casey saves her, the two women’s lives become intertwined in an interesting way. This had a fun, supernatural twist at the end that would be a fan for those who enjoy Grady Hendrix books.
