This is the sequel to the best-selling novel, “The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek,” which focused on a blue-skinned Appalachian pack horse librarian in the early 1930s. This book picks up when the original librarian, Cussy Mary and her husband are imprisoned for their biracial marriage and Cussy’s daughter Honey takes over her mother’s rural Kentucky route and learns what the books mean to the people along the way. A must read for fans of the first book.
