I have fallen deeply into the world created by Terry Brooks. In the Wishsong of Shannara, you venture with the ageless Allanon to begin a world saving journey with the children of Wil Ohmsford. The siblings must go on separate ventures of self-discovery and hero development. Battles between the light and dark seem never-ending and the results are bittersweet, as is true to so much in life. I have to agree that Brooks is a modern-day Tolkien.
