Where the Light Enters

Sara Donati writes historical fiction novels. They are long (usually around 700 pages) but they are worth it if you like historical fiction. Where the Light Enters is about Dr. Sophie Savard, who was an obstetrician in 1884. The story follows her and her family of women doctors through the chaotic streets of New York City. There is a mystery intertwined with the rest of the story. It took me two days on the beach to read the entire novel. A great read if you have time.
