I enjoyed Zevin’s 2022 book, “Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow” and wanted to check out her earlier works. This book would be loved by those who enjoyed “A Man Called Ove,” as A.J. Fikry, a cranky bookstore owner who only stocks the literary books he believes his island’s vacationers should read, receives a mysterious gift on his doorstep: a toddler. As A.J. assumes responsibility for Maya, he softens as she grows and he introduces her to the Island’s residents. There’s a little mystery and little love, you come to fall in love with A.J. as he shares his love of literature with the women in his life.
