This is the best-selling book by Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark, the voices behind the hit podcast, “My Favorite Murder!”
The authors shared personal stories about mental illness, addiction and eating disorders, along with advice for being safe rather than being “nice” or “helpful.” There are 8 chapters that correlate to common phrases from the podcast; however, I would say this is more memoir-like with many references to seeking therapy, than a true crime novel. As the authors say, if “You’re In a Cult, Call Your Dad.”
