If you are an aspiring writer, like myself, this is a great book to add to your collection of “how to get motivated to write?” books. It is a very honest and open account of Stephen King’s past and his adventures that lead him to writing. I found a lot of his advice real and raw. He reminded me that writers are humans going through very similar experiences as most people around them. They are NOT actually cyborgs from another universe who have computers as brains and robot-typing fingers of fury. I am thankful I read this book. I now have the confidence that it is possible to write an actual book and it is not just some pipedream of something I will do in another multiverse.
