I could not put this book down. This story is way past the Amazon series. It is set in a time when the Laconian Empire rules all 1,300+ galaxies and Naomi Nagata is the leader of the underground. The Laconian Empire plays a huge part in this book and it dives into the lives of those living on Laconia, including the daughter of the Emperor. One of my favorite characters is the dog, named Muskrat, and her relationship with the daughter. So many important things happen in this book to build up to the very last book. It pulls every mystery together and explains a lot of loose ends from previous books. Again, if you are diving into this series head first, I recommend you hold on until the last two books! They are SO good. That’s all I can say without spoiling anything.
