When Delphie chokes on a microwaveable burger alone in her apartment, she wakes up in the afterlife with nothing to show for her time on earth aside from the “Shine Like a Star” nightie she arrived in. As her eccentric afterlife therapist tries to settle her in, they are rudely interrupted by a new arrival and Delphie is immediately struck. He is handsome and, as the sparks fly, Delphie is convinced that he is her soulmate. There is only one problem. He’s not supposed to be here! As the mistake is corrected and he is sucked back to earth, Delphie’s therapist comes up with a deal. She can go back to earth and stay under the condition that she re-meet the stranger and get him to kiss her within 10 days. As time ticks down Delphie must open herself to others and learn, perhaps for the first time, how to live a little while she has the chance.

I loved this book from page one! The characters are hilarious and the story gives you everything you love from a romantic comedy while reminding us to live life to the fullest since tomorrow could be snatched from you in a second. Definitely recommend!
