WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The James V. Brown Library, 19 E. Fourth St., will offer a bilingual storytime for families starting in the new year.
The program will begin at 10 a.m. Jan. 11 in the Blue Program Room on the first floor of the Welch Children’s Wing. Presented by Programming Professional Sheila Howarth, the storytime is for children from both English and Spanish-speaking families to listen to stories, sing songs, play, and make new friends while learning in both English and Spanish. This program is for children to celebrate their first language while learning a second language.

This program supports the PA Forward state initiative by providing basic, social and civic literacy opportunities for learning and highlighting the transformative nature of public libraries within a community.
The James V. Brown Library is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday; and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
