Library to host POUND Fitness programs

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The James V. Brown Library, 19 E. Fourth St., will host free POUND Fitness exercise programs in June and July. 

 

POUND is a full-body workout combining the fun of drumming and different types of sweat-dripping exercises. It includes Ripstix to create light resistance, and combines strength training and cardio with Pilates and yoga movements. The program will be offered by Mandy (Bair) Mackey, a certified POUND 

fitness instructor. 

 

Dates include:

  • 10:30-11:30 a.m. Friday, June 21.
  • 10:30-11:30 a.m. Friday, June 28.
  • 10:30-11:30 a.m. Friday, July 12.
  • 10:30-11:30 a.m. Friday, July 26.
  • 10:30-11:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2.
  • 10:30-11:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9.

Registration is limited and required and may be made at calendar.jvbrown.edu. The program is open to teens, young adults and adults.

 

This program is one of the many ways Pennsylvania Public Libraries support the PA Forward Initiative by providing this health literacy opportunity for learning.

 

The James V. Brown Library is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday; and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Walk-in passport services are available from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, and 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
