WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The James V. Brown Library, 19 E. Fourth St., recently expanded its Wonderbooks collection to add nearly 50 Wonderbooks to the tween and teen collection, and 20 to the adult collection. The Library previously offered Wonderbooks for children.
Wonderbooks are print books with a ready-to-play audiobook inside. Users can press play to read along with their favorite books and then switch to learning mode for literacy learning and fun.
The Wonderbooks can be found throughout the building with the adult collection located by the Main Help Desk, the tween and teen section located on the new book display on the second-floor of the Welch Children’s Wing, and on the first-floor of the Welch Children’s Wing near the Toy Lending Library.
Information on how to use the resource is on the inside cover. Wonderbooks have a 21-day loan period and may be renewed up to 3 times.
These books support the PA Forward initiative to provide basic literacy opportunities for learning to help Pennsylvania achieve one of the highest literacy rates in the country, a better trained and more skilled workforce, and a growing tax base, economy, and population.
