This book was recommended to me as a switch up from reading fantasy. I dove right back into the sci-fi world and decided to read a new (to me) author. Children of Time is an end-of-the-earth dystopian story about how humans escape Earth before its imminent doom. Scientists, apes, and thousands of humans enter into “cryo-sleep” for many years and branch out in multiple ships, into the cosmos, in search of inhabitable planets to terraform. Due to a twist of events, their terraforming mission turns into something entirely different and unconventional. Filled with tragedy & success, turmoil & discoveries, this book grasped a new concept of sci-fi that I have never read in other stories. There are 3 books in the series. I have moved on to the second one already. I am excited to see the outcome of this adventure.
