If you’re in the mood, like me, to read about disasters during the present uncertain times, you could check out Jeff Shaara’s To Wake the Giant. He focuses in the WW2 novel on the days leading up to Pearl Harbor, from the point of view of Cordull Hull, Admiral Yamamoto, and most interesting of them, an American sailor named Biggs. As usual, Shaara focuses more on the human element than the military details, since we all know how the story ends.
