Anna Fox lives alone in a brownstone in New York, drinking too much, watching old movies, and spying on her neighbors through her window. But Anna is agoraphobic as a result of an unthinkable tragedy, unable to leave the house to practice her profession (child psychologist,) and sinks into deep depression. Anna is a witness to something through her window, but her drunkenness and other issues make her tough to believe, and subject to being gaslit. No one believes her, she is not sure she believes herself. This unreliable narrator gives rise to a twisted psychological thriller.
