This novella was first published in the 1990 short-story collection, “Four Past Midnight,” and is a bit dated. Kevin buys a Polaroid Sun 660 camera for his 15th birthday, but no matter what he does, it keeps producing pictures of a vicious dog that gets closer with each image. Throw in an old shopkeeper named Pop who thinks he can make a quick buck off this trick and you’ve got a classic King horror story in the making.
