I’ve been enjoying books by Irish crime writer Tana French and didn’t realize I was reading them “out of order” for her Dublin Murder Squad series, but that doesn’t matter. Fans can jump in at any book and have an enjoyable read. This book takes place at a boarding school, when a year ago, a teen was found murdered. The detectives only spend one day at the school to investigate this cold case, but the real story is in the relationships between the rival girl groups and the contemporary twist with hidden cellphones and teen slang. As with French’s other books, all is not what it seems and there are some twists and turns that make for a satisfying ending.
