Book Cover of The Plot by Jean Hanff Korelitz

Once a promising young literary author, Jacob Finch Bonner is teaching in a low residency MFA program at a small Vermont college when he encounters an obnoxious student who claims to have a plot so surefire that it will make him rich and famous.  A few years later, Jake learns that the student has died leaving the book unwritten, so he takes the plot, and writes a phenomenal bestseller. But someone knows, and begins to threaten his success and happiness. Although Korelitz leaves sufficient clues and skillful foreshadowing so I was able to guess the twist, this was an enjoyable and engaging listen.
