This is a thoroughly detailed look into the life of Lizzie Borden and the murder of her parents.

Actual black-and-white photographs and reprints of newspaper articles add to the timeless mystery of this crime. I enjoyed the author’s style and recounting of events. I felt the conversations between the Borden sisters, their maid, the police etc. were believable and certainly Lizzie’s own personality was damming for her. I think it’s easy to ask, “did she do it or didn’t she?”
