The holidays are coming and the James V. Brown Library has a way to help you spread holiday cheer with handmade gifts. The library will host two “Transform It: Adult DIY” programs at the library in which participants will make hand-sewn felt ornaments and decorations. Both programs feature the same items. An evening program will be offered from 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11 and a morning session will take place from 10-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12. These projects are intended for adults and offer fun adult social time. All supplies are provided, so registration is requested to ensure there are enough. Register at calendar.jvbrown.edu or call 570-326-0536.

This program is one of the many ways Pennsylvania public libraries support the PA Forward Initiative by providing civic and social literacy opportunities for learning. The program will be presented in the Lowry Room on the third floor of the Welch Children’s Wing.
The James V. Brown Library is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday; noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; and 24/7 at www.jvbrown.edu.
