Kendi interweaves the memoir of his own upbringing and evolution, from anti-black racist, to anti-white racist, to ant-racist, with the well-researched and presented argument for anti-racism. His thesis is that racism is not about good people (not-racist) and bad people (racist,) but the racist systems designed to support white supremacy. We are all either benefiting from and upholding those racist systems (and are thus racist) or are actively resisting those systems as an anti-racist. An important and powerful read.
