I am a huge Stephen King fan, so I also enjoy the work by his sons, Joe and Owen. This book of short stories is really great. My favorite was “Late Returns,” which was a love story to library Bookmobiles and finding the one perfect book. “The Devil on the Staircase” was interesting in that it was laid out in a series of triangles and stairsteps.

The previously published “In the Tall Grass” is included in this collection – the Netflix movie adaption also is very good! The “Faun” story is Bradbury-esque and will remind readers of “The Sound of Thunder.”

But the best part is Hill’s introduction in which he shares stories about his parents’ influence on him as a writer. It was enjoyable to hear stories about his childhood as a son of one of the most popular horror writers of our time.
