I enjoyed this read because I found many ways in which I could relate to the author. Her medical history and trauma mirrored events from my own life and I’m sure many women will find ways to connect with her as well. At times she is openly blunt in regard to her symptoms and at others she describes events with love and whimsy. Even in her darkest moments of despair, she states how she loves her doctors and family. If I take anything away from this memoir, it is to take joy in the small moments we have here on earth such as watching a praying mantis lay eggs and to stop stressing about things that could break us.
