It’s the time of the year for Hallmark Christmas specials and Christmas books. Some Christmas books are light and fluffy like Debbie Macomber’s Mrs. Miracle Christmas. Some are cozy mysteries like Donnal Andrews’s Gift of a Magpie and Joanne Fluke’s Christmas Cupcake Murder. Others are more poignant, like Richard Paul Evans’s Noel Letters. This book starts out in October with tragedy and loss, but as the characters work through their troubles they come to a message of forgiveness. And there’s always Dickens’s classic tale of redemption, A Christmas Carol. So drop by the James V. Brown Library and look for those red and green stickers on books, our holiday music, and new and old Christmas movies.
