Mark your calendars for the 2019 James V. Brown Author Gala on Oct. 24, which will feature bestselling author Lisa See.
In her many beloved New York Times bestsellers, including “Snow Flower and the Secret Fan,” “The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane,” “Peony in Love,” “Shanghai Girls,” “Dreams of Joy,” “China Dolls,” and recently released “The Island of Sea Women,” Lisa See brilliantly illuminates the strong bonds between women, romantic love and love of country.
Lisa See joins the group of best-selling authors who have made this event a must-attend for so many: Adriana Trigiani in 2012, Lisa Scottoline in 2013, Jennifer Weiner in 2014, Ruth Reichl in 2015, Chris Bohjalian in 2016, Louise Penny in 2017, and Dennis Lehane in 2018.
The Gala, in its 17th year, is the Library’s major fundraising event. It is sponsored by the
Friends of the James V. Brown Library and will take place at Le Jeune Chef on the Pennsylvania College of Technology campus.
Tickets are $85 per person and all funds raised benefit the library and its mission to champion the love of reading and open new doors to lifelong learning.
