This is the fourth book by the best-selling Swedish author of “A Man Called Ove” and it focuses on a character introduced in his first novel, Britt-Marie. She is an older woman who is OCD and set in her ways. When she realizes her husband has been cheating on her, she gets a job as the caretaker of the recreation center in the small town of Borg. Here, she meets new friends and realizes what it takes to truly make a home. Backman is always funny and his characters seem so real as they navigate through life. What starts out as an annoying title character grows into a woman you are rooting for – I highly recommend this book.
