Continuing our journey through Middle Earth, The Two Towers is really a build up to the Return of the King in many ways. The meeting of the Ents, the return of Gandalf (spoilers!), visiting Rohan, and the defeat of Saruman all happen in this book, which means it is not for want of action, and excitement.
Its also in this book, that we start to see the true hero of the story, Sam really begin to shine. He is determined to complete their journey, no matter what, even when he believes Frodo to be dead.
I won’t spoil this book any more than I did the last. They’re classics through and through, and if you haven’t read them, or seen the movies at least, I would sincerely suggest you do. The world building continues to be fantastic, and the story is entirely enthralling.
