Youth Services Programming and Library Assistant

The James V. Brown Library is seeking an innovative part time Youth Services Programming and Library Assistant.  This position requires designing and implementing programming for teens and tweens, facilitating outreach opportunities and working on the circulation desk.

The candidate should possess a positive attitude and a sincere desire to work with children of all ages, but have a special interest in tweens and teens. This position requires an individual to be comfortable working independently, but also be a team player. If you are an enthusiastic, creative and passionate reader of young adult literature this opportunity is for you.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and experience in working with school age children.

This position is a 20 hour weekly schedule with 2 evenings, and 2 morning shifts per week and one weekend a month.

On Call Driver – Outreach Customer Services Assistant

Outreach staff are the library’s representatives in the community and promote support for the library and its services on the strength of their ability to interact helpfully and positively with customers. This position combines circulation activities with the physical operation of the bookmobile, storymobile, or delivery van and/or onsite work at a Link location, on an as needed basis.  Click here for position description.
