Sarah Lamade, of South Williamsport, is volunteering at the James V. Brown Library during her summer vacation.
Lamade will be a junior this fall at the University of Rochester, where she is studying linguistics and anthropology.
At the library, she is working on book displays with a summer theme to tie into the library’s year-long “Geek the Library” campaign. Her display features books for those who geek gardening, the outdoors, hobbies, sports, traveling and more.
“I’m thinking of pursuing a career in library sciences or at the Library of Congress, so this is a good start while I’m home for the summer,” Lamade said.
She is the daughter of Jill and Mike Lamade and a graduate of South Williamsport Area High School.
