Little Lambs students donate funds to library Storymobile

Students at Little Lambs Preschool and Child Care, 142 Market St., recently donated $200 to purchase new books for the James V. Brown Library’s Storymobile.

The students raised the funds through a reading challenge in which they donated $1 for every book they read together with their family. Each year the child care center at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church holds a community service project. Shown in the photo with the pre-K4 students are Candy Montis, preschool teacher; Alissa Hart, teacher’s aide; and Pam Fink, Storymobile librarian.

The Storymobile visits child care facilities across Lycoming County providing hundreds of children in these centers with carefully selected and age-appropriate books that enrich their early learning experiences. The free service is provided by the Brown Library as a way to champion the love of reading in young children.
