The Lycoming County Library System touches lives every day. The System is comprised of six public libraries (Hughesville, Jersey Shore, James V. Brown, Konkle Memorial, Montgomery, and Muncy). Together the libraries provide equitable access to resources and services. They collaborate on purchases, share a common library catalog and provide free delivery between locations.

Meet the Thompsons, a family of four. The Thompsons take advantage of the Baby Storytimes, Toddler Tales, and Music Together programs. A private parent-child workshop would cost $25 per session.
Meet Sue. She received a Nook eReader for Christmas and has since downloaded 76 books from the library’s Overdrive system, saving $760.
Meet Richard, who loves to read about military history. He has read the entire library’s collection, satisfying his curiosity all the while saving him the cost of $20 per book.
Meet Derrick, a teen who has a voracious appetite to read and loves to attend young adult programs.
He plays WII and Xbox games. He saves an average of $30 a game by previewing them at the library.
Meet Sarah, a high school senior, who was able to increase her SAT score after taking the SAT Prep Test on the library’s Learning Express system. A private tutoring session would have cost $120 per hour.
Meet Linda, an avid genealogist. By conducting research at the library, she saves $19.95 a month.
Meet Desmond, who visits the library every day to read all 4 of its daily newspapers. The library saves Desmond $400 a year.
